Drywall Stage: Where the ADU Starts to Feel Like a Home
We’ve hit drywall stage on the current ADU build, and it’s always one of my favorite parts — the moment it stops feeling like a job site and starts looking like a home. I also wanted to share a quick bit of history on drywall itself. It was first introduced over a century ago as an alternative to plaster but didn’t really catch on until after World War II, when builders needed a faster way to finish homes. Funny how something so ordinary ended up completely reshaping how we build.
      
      Kitchen Remodel Update – Demo Complete
The old kitchen is out and demo is done! Plumbing is up next before we start building the new layout. It’s always exciting to see the space start to transform — one step closer to the finished kitchen.
